The submission period for Chapter 4 has now ended. Please bear with us while we set up the upcoming election!

The previously announced end date for the submission period has now passed, and even though we've seen a great display of writing talent, overall things have been a bit more quiet compared to Chapter 3. We've therefore decided to extend the submission period, which will now last until Friday, June 27, in order to allow sufficient time to build the momentum that will lead us to the next vote.

So, check out the latest stories, and don't forget to rate them! And to all writers out there, there is still time to contribute your ideas!

Dark Rivers of the Soul, by Neotupac has scored a landslide victory in the vote for Chapter 3, securing 60.9% of the votes in a single isntant-runoff round. Congratulations to Neotupac, and to all authors, for their work!

The submission period for Chapter 4 is now underway, and will last for four weeks, until Wednesday, June 4.

After a very exciting submission period, with over 15 contributions, the five pieces shortlisted for the Chapter 3 vote are:

The candidates were selected in order of received rating, and, in those cases where rating scores were close to a tie, reader comments and feedback were also taken into consideration.

The voting period for Chapter 3 has now begun, and will last until Wednesday, May 7. Vote now for your favorites among the five diverse, beautifully written stories!

With one day to go until the end of the submission period, the ranking scores for several of the pieces are close to a tie! In order to ensure a fair shortlisting of candidates for the upcoming voting period, we encourage everyone to rate the stories, especially the most recent ones that have not yet secured a significant number of ratings (in the rate page, submissions appear in reverse chronological order).

If a clear candidate shortlist has not emerged by tomorrow, we'll leave the existing pieces open for rating for five more days, but will not be accepting new submissions over that time.

• Editable submissions. Authors can now edit their pieces after they are submitted. We encourage everyone to provide contructive criticism, in order to help authors make the most effective editing.
• Enhanced notifications. Stay up to date with the project by opting to receive emails whenever new stories or discussion comments are posted. Setup your preferences by clicking on the "My Notification Settings" tab in your profile.
• Complete the sentence. What would you do if you knew the world was going to end tomorrow? Is there anything you cannot live without? Have a go at these questions in the updated user profiles!

After securing a 52.3% score, Mob Mentality by MPapale is EndOfThisWorld's Chapter 2! It was a close battle, as the winner started off in rank 3, and worked its way to first rank by the third instant-runoff round. Congrarulations to MPapale and to all other authors for their outstanding work!

But how will Chapter 3 develop? Will Star have the guts to crash into the woman in the Porsche? And where is Lana? What happens is up to you, so pick up your pens, keyboards and thoughts, and help create Chapter 3.
